The outdoor program transforms the existing backyard into a cohesive estate garden — a formal rectangular pool running perpendicular to the house, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen under a wood pergola, and a planting language drawn from English and Mediterranean estate gardens. The ADU sits in the far back corner, parallel to the pool, with matching stone and slate detailing.
A clean, formal lap pool running perpendicular to the rear of the house, replacing the existing kidney-shaped pool. The geometry is deliberate — a long, narrow rectangle that creates visual depth and draws the eye from the house to the back of the lot.
